Description
A plump, fragrant vanilla pod to give your desserts a flavour that no industrial extract or flavouring can match.
How to use it
- Split the pod lengthways and scrape out the tiny black seeds with the tip of a knife.
- Infuse the seeds and pod in hot milk or cream for custard, rice pudding, panna cotta or flan.
- Once used, rinse and dry the pod, then slip it into a jar of sugar: you'll have homemade vanilla sugar.
Store in an airtight tube or jar, away from light.
