Description
There are real differences between mandarins and clementines: the mandarin is juicier and sweeter than the clementine, but has more seeds. It is easier to peel, as its skin does not stick to the flesh. The clementine was discovered in Algeria in the 19th century by Father Clément (hence its name), and is the result of a natural cross between a mandarin and a bitter orange.
